Last year we grew outside of our comfort zone as a publication. By publishing work and words by people from communities that had not been given visibility on previous zines we started a process.

This year we want to build on that process and expand it beyond our own editorial limitations.

So issue 7 of The Juice is about what is outside of our reach. There are endless worlds outside of what each of us can experience as individuals. We want to document them.

“Other Worlds” is the overall theme for the new zine. We want you to bring your world to us. We want to talk about the irregular, the uncommon, the ostracized, the outside the box. Other ways of doing things. Other perspectives. Other experiences. Other cultures. Other zines.

In an effort of continuation, we would particularly like to hear from people who have never collaborated with a fanzine before, people from minority groups who are underrepresented in mainstream media, or people who feel a specific topic/experience lacks visibility and accurate depictions in the regular channels.

Illustrators, bloggers, writers, musicians, artists, photographers, designers, entrepreneurs...whatever your craft, we’d love to hear your take on the ideas expressed above, or just pitch us something you’re passionate about.

The theme and guidelines mentioned above are not exclusive and strict, so to be clear: this is an OPEN CALL to ANYONE AND EVERYONE.

We will be accepting submissions and ideas until April 30th 2019.
